Reporting in a matrix structure to both HQ and locally to General Manager, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Head of Medical ANZ, looking for variety, bring a new presence to shape medical and scientific input into Medical Affairs strategies for the affiliate and brand plans. The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Leading and developing the ANZ medical team
- Partnering with local and global colleagues in the Business Units as well as Medical and Regulatory colleagues to develop and implement a robust medico-marketing strategy for Australia and New Zealand markets.
- Ensuring that brand activities are based on and aligned with cutting edge medical practice in Norgine’s therapy areas.
- Developing and executing high quality KOL initiatives, publications planning and other communication tools
- Being a trusted ambassador representing Norgine in the healthcare community.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- An MBBS is essential
- Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and the role of medical affairs
- Extensive leadership experience, with strong ability to lead, develop and motivate the
- Knowledge of both Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and Code of Practice - Medicines New Zealand, Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI)
- Training and experience in copy approval and all aspects of legislation and relevant codes of practice regulating the promotion of medicines
- A willingness to travel is important as active engagement with KOLs and other relevant external stakeholders is essential. Attending scientific medical meetings is also expected..
- An understanding of pharmacovigilance activities and willingness to develop a level of knowledge necessary to fulfil the local PV requirements local medical team
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills to work as a member of the AUS/NZ Leadership Team
- Knowledge of the scientific methods applied to clinical research and the current legislative/regulatory controls

**Essential Skills & Abilities**
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across an organisation as well as with key external stakeholders and the healthcare community at large.
- Confident, active contributor to cross-functional teams and/or experience working in matrix organizations will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of the responsibilities and operational work of an affiliate’s dedicated medical function
- Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned therapeutic area/product and in medical research in general.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role in the healthcare industry.
- Experience in the presentation and/or interpretation of scientific or clinical research publications.
