
Experienced Support Worker Needed

SACARE is a South Australian-owned and operated organisation leading the way in providing innovative in-home and supported accommodation care solutions to a diverse range of participants.
We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and experienced Disability Support Worker to assist a participant with a high-level spinal cord injury. Our participant directs all aspects of his care and is seeking workers who have good communication skills.
This is an overnight role and requires someone with demonstrated experience in providing complex 1:1 care and supports person centered care and choice and control.

**What will I be responsible for?**
- Overnight personal care including repositioning and personal care tasks as directed by the participant.
- Domestic support such as cleaning, laundry.
- Client-directed care: you must be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to a detailed and structured care plan
- Maintain a respectful and low-profile presence in the home
How will I help?
You will empower participants to achieve their goals and support them and their individual care needs in areas such as wellbeing, housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care needs and daily activities such as trips to the shops or social outings.
What do I need?
- Current NDIS Workers Check
- Current DHS Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate with up to date CPR
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
- Unrestricted Driver’s License
- Certificate III Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar qualification
