**Special Conditions**:
- The successful applicant/s will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment.
- Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position, they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) or a graphic and sensitive nature.
- The role may require deployment to crime scenes at short notice and may require state-wide travel.
- The successful applicant is required to successfully undertake and maintain forensic certification as a Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) issued by the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) within 2 years of commencing duty.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Possession of a degree from a recognised tertiary institution relevant to the computing function, or equivalent qualifications.
**Your Key Accountabilities will include**:
- Assist, either individually or as a member of a team, in complex analysis of computer systems and electronic devices concerning the activities of businesses, organisations and individuals to recover evidence, with particular emphasis on the analysis of information flows and the reconstruction of computer transactions.
- Provide evidence, either in affidavit form or personally in Courts or other Tribunals.
- Assist in the provision of oral and written briefings on complex aspects of analytical tasks, with particular emphasis on computer related investigations.
- Assist in the identification of training needs, and in the development and delivery of training programs on digital evidence and investigative techniques.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of computer techniques to support forensic computer analysis.
- Provide assistance in an advisory capacity at interviews or court/tribunal hearings, with emphasis on computer evidence related aspects of investigations.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
