Early morning/afternoon shifts available - short 2-3 hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one assistance to children with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Implement individualized care plans to address specific needs and goals.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting independence, social interaction, and personal growth.
- Assist with daily tasks, including personal hygiene, mealtime support, and medication administration, adhering to established protocols.
- Facilitate recreational activities and educational development to enhance the children's overall well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and caregivers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working with children aged 3 to 15 with disabilities, including behavioural disorders, ADHD, and autism.
- Demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges and needs associated with these disabilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children, adapting to their individual communication styles and preferences.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children, families, and other team members.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $33.00 - $39.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bentleigh, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- support work: 1 year (preferred)

- First Aid Certification (preferred)

- Australia (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (preferred)
