With growing clients in the regions, so are our workforce. Alpha Omega Aged Care and Disability Service is hiring support workers in a casual basis. The purpose of the role is to assist elderly and disability clients in performing daily tasks and improve overall independence and wellbeing in a home or community setting.

**Position Purpose**:To assist disability clients in performing daily tasks and improve overall independence and wellbeing in a home or community setting.

Location of work: Campbelltown, Ingleburn, Leppington and neighbour suburbs.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Assisting with daily care for clients at their home including showering, changing clothes, brushing their teeth, etc.
- Transporting and accompanying clients when required.
- Performing housekeeping including domestic cleaning, laundry, food preparation, shopping.
- Training clients to care for themselves and educate family members.
- Social support to improve clients’ wellbeing and independence.
- Perform administrative duties such as always clocking in/out after each shift, making incident reports, and entering shift notes on the rostering app.

**About you**
- Confident and calm manner.
- Having an ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to adapt** **communication skills to each client you work with.
- Willing to accept shifts that are average 2 hours long.
- Current National Police Check (must-have)

**Desirable Qualification and other criteria.**
- Live experience on working with people with Disabilities.
- Certificate Level III in Individual Support (Disability or Home, Social and Community Service) (desirable), or be willing to upskill yourself if we provide online and in-person training.
- Having full driver licence and owning a car (desirable).
