Workshop Supervisor- Western Australia

Tyree Transformers is a local, Australian owned and operated manufacturer of electrical transformers for the Australasian market including Western Australia. Tyree operates factories in NSW and VIC which are supported by a workshop in Jandakot WA. Tyree holds significant long-term contracts with Western Australian utility, industrial and mining clients and operate the WA workshop to service, repair and facilitate installation for these.

The purpose of this position is to provide workshop supervision and management of the Tyree Western Australian transformer workshop.

Supervision and management of the site and staff including servicing and repair of Tyree transformers, after sales support for contract clients including account supervision and general workshop duties to support the Tyree Transformers business and product in WA.

- Formal OH&S Training and Experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Quality control system implementation and reinforcement through process engineering
- MRP system experience

The newly found role, will involve the following:

- Ensure compliance to OH&S requirements in workshop and office areas.
- Management of workshop team to provide service, repair and testing of transformers including planned task assignment and schedule enforcement.
- Reporting to factory and management staff of workshop activity and service/repair works
- Customer meetings to provide service/repair feedback and promotion of Tyree transformers.
- Planning to meet scheduled delivery targets.
- Responsible for deliverables to time and cost from the workshop
- Quality system and process control measures followed and developed in the workshop.
- Workshop activities and processes to reduce non-conformance defects.
