An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Lead to drive strategic procurement initiatives and enhance compliance, efficiency, and value. This role will lead procurement functions while fostering a customer-focused culture, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and best practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a procurement strategy that enhances efficiency and compliance.
- Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on procurement and contract management.
- Ensure procurement policies and procedures comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage the procurement team, fostering a high-performing, customer-centric culture.
- Oversee service plans and procurement frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems.
- Develop and monitor performance reporting to measure outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Ensure contract management and procurement systems mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
- Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to build procurement capability.

**Skills, Experience, Attributes and Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Business, or a related field.
- Extensive procurement experience in a government setting with a strong understanding of compliance.
- Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies in a complex, regulated environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in building and mentoring teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in contract management systems, finance/purchasing systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet changing business needs
