**About this opportunity**:
Our partner Children, Youth & Family Services (CYF) is a leading Child Safety provider throughout QLD. CYF team members play a vital role in ensuring that children and young people are offered a safe and stable environment to reach their goals. The Case Manager leads and influences their team in providing high quality care to children, young people and families.
**Key responsibilities of this role**:
- Ensure that the needs of children and young people are met through the development, implementation, and review of individual plans
- Maintain an understanding of the principles of Child Protection and work collaboratively with other government and non-government agencies
- Create a team culture of support and respect
- Support residential care workers under your management in their roles by providing supervision, debriefing and regular contact
- Undertake necessary administrative reporting and tasks as required
- Attend and participate in regular supervision, team meetings, stakeholder meetings, and inter-agency meetings
- Participate in the recruitment process for new residential care workers
- Complete direct care shifts as needed
**To succeed in this role you will have**:
- An understanding of complex care issues for children and young people
- An understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people in care
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and complaints
- Strong management experience and a natural aptitude for leadership
- Hold or be enrolled in and working towards a relevant recognised qualification
- Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card
- Hope and Healing online Framework Foundations Training
- Drivers Licence
