- Is responsible for the provision of person centred; evidence
- based care that promotes positive health outcomes;
- Will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team;
- Will assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and will maintain their professional accountability and development in accordance with the relevant Professional Competency Standards; and
- Align their professional conduct with those of the NSW Health CORE Values.

From Helensburgh in the north to North Durras in the south, ISLHD covers an area of 5,687 square kms. - Relevant qualifications as an Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Psychologist, currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or a qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
