**About the role**

We are seeking to appoint an Associate to support her Honour Judicial Registrar Bales at the County Court of Victoria in the Common Law Division, for a fixed term of 12 months.

****Her Honour Judicial Registrar Bales principally sits in the Common Law Division and is the Judicial Registrar managing the Appeals and Post Sentence Applications (APSA) List.

As her Honour's associate, you will provide high level operational, administrative and technical legal support to Judicial Registrar Bales both in chambers and in Court. The work of the team sits within a complex, demanding and sensitive environment. Your role will involve case file management, a strong emphasis on communication at all levels and may include legal research and writing.

**About you**

Ideally you will have demonstrated Court experience or legal ability, a particular interest in Common Law and in APSA related matters, a high level of attention to detail, excellent organisational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Your ability to balance competing demands on your time, work well under pressure and communicate with persons of diverse backgrounds, will be highly regarded.
