**The Opportunity**

Our UGL Utilities division is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor for a transmission line project in Regional NSW. The role will initially be based in our North Sydney Office before transitioning to site on a DIDO 3/1 roster at the end of the year.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will undertake all site inductions as requested by the client. Monitor and evaluation systems and procedures specific to site works to ensure that they are up to date, compliant and line with best practice, whilst you participate in regular learning and development programs to continually enhance and further develop skills and continuously improve capabilities and performance.

Some key responsibilities of this role will include:

- Establish and maintain Environmental Management Plans (EMP), associated procedures and records on environmental management to meet the client’s requirements and ISO 14001
- Provide environmental training and inductions on relevant environmental issues to UGL staff and sub-contractors
- Technically support weed inspections and washdowns of UGL and subcontractor plant and equipment as required by the client and legislation
- Monitor sediment and erosion control measures
- Review sub-contractors Environmental Management Plans, procedures, records and activities as required
- Support the audit program to monitor all the activities set out in the EMP for the project
- Investigate and reporting of environmental incidents and complaints to the client and UGL management
- Liaise with the client Environmental Officers over issues arising
- Monitor and technically support all measures to avoid environmental penalties
- Support continuous improvement in Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards

**About you**
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Science or an equivalent approved qualification
- Minimum 5 Years relevant Environmental Management experience
- Previous experience in Environmental Management in a Construction environment
- Working knowledge of QLD and Federal environmental legislation
- Prior working experience in ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems
- Auditing Experience, Database, Word Processing and Spreadsheet skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Working knowledge of QLD and Federal environmental legislation.
