New Hope Group is a majority Australian owned and operated diversified energy company which has been proudly based in Southeast Queensland for more than 60 years. We have assets spanning coal mining, exploration, agriculture, port operation and oil.
Our procurement team is a small (but growing), dynamic team, looking for a new team member who is passionate about working closely with our local suppliers and contractors. This position is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the New Acland Mine ramp-up at the ground level paving the way to success as a team.
**What you’ll do**:
- Draft and review contracts; review and negotiate departures
- Prepare variations, extensions, terminations, and amendments to contracts
- Participate in data cleaning activities and data migration processes into Vendor and Contract Management platform
- Initiate and follow through on purchase and contract approval processes
- Participate in audits to ensure adherence to corporate governance
- Work collaboratively and effectively with key stakeholders across the group
- Support price file updating
- Support existing team members
- Various administrative tasks
**What you’ll need to succeed in this role**:
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Sense of urgency to work to deadlines
- Positive ‘Can do’ attitude and solutions focused
- Experience in drafting contracts
- Law / Business / Project Management qualifications would be advantageous
