Procurement Officer

Queensland government office seeking a procurement officer on a contract basis until the end of November with the possibility of extension.
**About the role**
Provide a high standard of administrative support for the Procurement Team.
- Assisting with the development, distribution review and award of tender packages for low risk and low value projects.
- Maintenance of procurement systems including the contracts register, tender register, supplier and performance portals.
- Conduct procurement activities in accordance with endorsed guidelines and policies to meet business needs.
- Review, assess and allocate business unit requests to Procurement Team members.
- Administer the Supplier Register including the assessment of new requests, modifications and deletions.
- Directly support the Procurement Business Partner(s) in conducting due diligence checks of tenderers/potential contractors
- Request financial assessments via third party for preferred tenderers.
**About you**
- 2+ years working in a procurement role
- Experience working with procurement contracts
- Working knowledge of the Queensland Government Procurement Policy (QPP) and standing offer arrangements (SOA’s) is advantageous.
- Have the ability to create rapport with key internal customers and influence positive outcomes.
