**The Opportunity**
This role is with a mid-tier mining organisation who currently operate a large scale open cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin. Following previous successful years, they are in a phase of growth and are now looking for people to join our successful team.
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring all survey measurement and reporting is completed in an effective manner.
**About You**
- A degree/diploma/certificate/Survey experience.
- Registration in QLD Open Cut Coal Mines will be highly regarded, although not essential.
- Experience working as a Surveyor in an Open Cut mining operation.
- Proficient in MS Office, excel, Point Studio, Vulcan, Pix4D.
- Experience working with Trimble GPS, Isite Scanner, UAV Phantom and machine guidance systems would be advantageous.
- Current Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of the Qld Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus and passion on continuous improvement.
- A team player mentality and willingness to take initiative and problem solve.
