**Responsibilities**:

- Due to the exciting expansion of our market leading insurance team, Turks are looking for an Associate to join our General Insurance group in Brisbane.- By joining Turks, you will be rewarded with long-term career opportunities and development, in a friendly, approachable and supportive team-based environment.**Responsibilities**
You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- working on a range of complex insurance litigation and insurance advice matters, across a broad, mixed practice;
- develop skills in insurance law and litigation;
- have regular involvement and contact with clients;
- appear in various courts and tribunals including Magistrates, County and Supreme courts; and
- supervise and train junior lawyers as required.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- an academic qualification in law, with a current Practicing Certificate;
- excellent analytical, drafting and communication (verbal and written) skills, with superior attention to detail;
- experience in policy wording review/drafting is desired but not essential; and
- knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act and indemnity issues.

In addition, you will:
- be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer who has a passion for client service;
- have the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, as well as autonomously; and
- have a desire for personal development.
