- About the Role
- This role is primarily responsible for conducting investigations as a member of BHP’s Ethics & Investigations team.
- Conducts investigations with a focus on Category A misconduct reports and in line with BHP’s Response & Investigations Framework.
- Effectively and efficiently plans and delivers investigations.
- Investigates misconduct reports across BHP’s global operations in accordance with BHP’s Response & Investigations Framework
- Continuously exercises mature judgement and manages concurrent investigations while focused on personal wellbeing, along with organisational and psychosocial risk.
- Initiates, builds and maintains highly productive working relationships within Ethics and Investigations, and across BHP in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Creates a culture of trust and collaboration with Assets and Functions to foster a learning environment and identify improvement opportunities for future investigations.
- Maintain a trauma-informed approach during investigations, ensuring support for all parties involved in collaboration with the Ethics Support Service and other relevant stakeholders.
- Seek opportunities to present insights and share feedback during team meetings, while also collaborating with colleagues across the broader External Affairs function.
- About You
- Experience conducting criminal, regulatory, corporate or government workplace investigations.
- Demonstrated analytical, organisational, and oral and written communication skills.
- Degree qualified in law, investigations or related field (or extensive relevant equivalent experience).
- Formal recognised investigation, evidence gathering and interview training.
- Experience in the conduct of serious and medium complexity investigations.
- Experience operating in a corporate environment or multinational environment, preferably the resources sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
