Do you have a passion for combatting Financial Crimes through expert investigation and suspicious matter reporting? Australian Military Bank are looking for a Transaction Monitoring Analyst to assist the Transaction Monitoring Specialist and Head of Financial Crime & Fraud in the on-going advancement of our AML/CTF controls.
**Your Role**
Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime & Fraud, this role is mainly responsible for the mitigation of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing by conducting thorough investigation of transaction monitoring alerts. The role also requires on-going review of the AML program, uplift of policies and procedures and support in the assessment of rule performance.
You will be part of a close-knit Financial Crime & Fraud team which encompasses all areas of Financial Crime and KYC, including ECDD, ongoing monitoring and reporting obligations of SMR, TTR and IFTI, PEPs, Sanctions, Fraud, Scams and Card Disputes. You must be a self-starter, autonomous and have good experience in Transaction Monitoring. You will be responsible for:

- Investigation of daily transaction monitoring alerts
- Review and submission of SMRs
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of the AML/CTF program: Part A and Part B regulatory requirements.
- Support periodic assessment of Transaction Monitoring rule effectiveness
- Assisting the Head of Financial Crime & Financial Crime Compliance in on-going review and uplift of AML program
- Knowledge of and experience with AUSTRAC reporting requirements
- Involvement in Financial Crime related projects

**About You**
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the below key attributes and experience:

- Investigation of Transaction Monitoring Alerts and Unusual Activity Referrals
- Suspicious Matter Reporting
- Understanding of ECDD and OCDD requirements
- Minimum 1 year in similar role
- Excellent presentation, written and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
