The Associate Lecturer in Public Relations - Early Career Development Fellow (ECDF) will be required to teach and conduct classes and studios in Public Relations and disciplines relevant to their field of expertise and assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with these courses. Functions associated with the position include presentation of lectures and tutorials, assessment of students and course administration as well as industry engagement in line with the University’s quality assurance requirements.
- The Associate Lecturer in Public Relations (ECDF) is also required to undertake research activities in line with the University’s research strategy. It is expected that the Associate Lecturer in Public Relations (ECDF) will work under support and guidance to develop expertise in Public Relations teaching and research with an increasing degree of autonomy.
The Lecturer in Public Relations - Early Career Development Fellow (ECDF) is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in Public Relations and disciplines related to their field of expertise. More specifically, the Lecturer in Public Relations (ECDF) is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and postgraduate programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities in Public Relations.
- The Lecturer in Public Relations (ECDF) is also expected to actively promote the programs by establishing and maintaining memberships, links, and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. The Lecturer in Public Relations (ECDF) is expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in Public Relations and related Communication disciplines.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have / you’ll have as a minimum:
Associate Lecturer:
Demonstrated ability to prepare and teach Public Relations programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.-
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.-
- Evidence of research output including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in the field of Public Relations.-
- Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the demonstrated ability to work confidently and effectively with colleagues, project team leaders and industry partners.-
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.-
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.-
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills including the ability to consult with senior executives, external bodies, produce executive reports, negotiate agreed directions, outcomes and targets within a collaborative environment.- Qualifications-

- Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs in Public Relations which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.- **Qualifications**:
