**Public Sector People** are working with a number of government organisations within Southeast Queensland.

We have multiple roles available in MORETON BAY, BRISBANE CITY, GOLD COAST, and southern outer suburbs of Brisbane.

We are looking for Several AO3, AO4 & AO5 Procurement Officer a 6-month contract positions with the possibility of extension or direct appointment. These roles are in LOCAL and STATE GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS.

There will be ongoing training and development within the role. Flexible working is welcomed.

These are roles that will suit someone who is looking to advance their career and further their experience within procurement.

**Responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- Assist with the ongoing review and improvement of the corporate procurement function by developing and implementing best practice procurement plans.
- Provide specialist procurement advice and support to stakeholders to improve outcomes and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience developing negotiation strategies and undertaking negotiations with vendors.

**About you**:

- You will have experience working within local and/or state government.
- You will have relevant experience within either procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or contracts.
- You have excellent attention to detail and pick up systems quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use your initiative
- You thrive under pressure; Stressful environments bring the best out of you.
