Fitter (General)

Prestige Truck Bodies is the leading company in manufacturing of truck bodies. We build all traditional rigid body types and in addition we custom design bodies to suit client's needs.

We are looking for a full-time Fitter (General) to be based in Carrum Downs, Victoria who will be responsible for the fitting and assembly of metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate and produce various truck body equipment, implements and accessories.

Tasks include:
Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings to produce various truck body equipment, implements and accessories. Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce various truck body equipment, implements and accessories. Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments. Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines on various trucks.

**Salary**: $54,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
