**SYNOPSIS OF THE ROLE**

The primary role of the purchasing & planning officer is to assist the team in procuring the goods, raw materials & services required to operate the organization effectively and to plan, manage day to day production work order, workflow, and output on production lines to ensure complete on time in line of delivery date.

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Planning
- Based on customer order, create monthly/ weekly/ daily production plan based on production line efficiency, local supply chain limitations and schedule production control.
- Prepare Production Report and update the actual day-to-day production output performance on a daily and weekly basis.
- To plan and manage day to day production work order, workflow, and output on production lines to ensure complete on time in line of delivery date.
- Work with project demand to understand shortage fulfilment dates.
- To ensure production follows the planning schedule and materials are enough for smooth production.
- Managing production flow, inventory, and material shipment.
- Review, assist and prioritize loading sequence for shipment or reschedule, if necessary, with logistics.
- Commit and update customer orders into item level allocation file (ILAF)
Update OPOR to customer, check PO accuracy. - Place purchase request (PR) to order material for production plan

**Purchasing**:

- Responsible for sourcing, cost negotiations, credit terms and buying of raw materials.
- Responsible for planning, sourcing, and developing an alternative or new potential supplier.
- Follow up outstanding Purchase Order and expedite delivery of goods.
- Review inventories and order as required.
- Review deliveries against the orders.
- Track the status of any orders.
- Manage any procurement activities.

**Other duties as required**

**ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES**
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in purchasing, buying, and planning preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
- Analytical and logical skills.
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, and dependability.
- Good computing skills:

- Ability to use the Microsoft Suite of Applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word;
- Chinese communication skills
