The Workshop Store Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the workshop parts purchasing and coordination for our fleet of company owned and operated prime-movers & rigid trucks, tautliners, Pantech’s, refrigerated trailers. Ensuring all matters relating to the parts storage, purchasing, stock level, parts recording and utilisation are performed in accordance with all legislative requirements and in line with the business needs and requirements.
- Manage spare part, WS consumable & tyre purchase order raising.
- Receive and store stock.
- Authorize parts supply invoices
- Confirm spare parts are recorded accurately
- Review current spare parts and tyres with-in the parts storage area
- Sort out parts and consumables in parts storage area so parts store operates logically
- Perform monthly stock takes
- Dispose of redundant parts
- Develop storage area for Fibre Glass repair parts and consumables
- Minimum 12 months experience in a heavy vehicle maintenance environment with strong operational understanding.
- Understanding of Spare parts and purchasing requirements
- Good Microsoft office/IT experience, MS Office
- Procurement process experience and understanding.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills with ability to present information in a logical manner, which is clear, concise and factual.
- Work well under pressure
