As an unqualified Personal Care Assistant or Domestic Assistant, you will work as part of a team providing safe and effective personal care tailored to the needs of your client group in the booming in-home care sector or facility based. To get started in this sector will assist you by enrolling you in Certificate IV Ageing Support with our award-winning education partner. As you complete your studies we will endeavour to assist you transition into the aged care or disability sector.

After successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification you will have the skills and knowledge required to work and take responsibility for your own work and some limited responsibility for the outputs of others working in a wide range of support roles.

Duties include assisting and promoting independence with any of the following as required:

- Maintaining cleanliness of living spaces
- Shopping, basic meal preparation and assistance
- Transportation to community and medical appointments as required
- Engaging clients in meaningful activities tailored to their individual needs and goals
- Facilitating activities related to health and wellness

Eligibility Criteria:

- Be an Australian citizen/permanent resident to be eligible for Government funding but a fee for service is available also for Non-Residents.
- Be willing to commit to a 12-month course that will be delivered virtual 4 times per month though our supported distance model attending 1 per month virtually and the remainder self paced providing ultimate flexibility
- Must have current or willing to undergo a police check/WWC
- COVID 19 3 Vac/flu vaccinated
