Childcare Educator

**Award winning service seeking experienced Early Childhood Educator to work with our passionate, motivated team to deliver quality early childhood education and care to children aged 0-6 years of age.**
Position - Part Time (Wednesday, Thursday)
**Responsibilities**:
Part of a passionate team of educators and teachers, the responsibility of an Early Childhood Educator is to work collaboratively with other educators and our families to prepare educational programs and experiences that support children’s individual needs and age appropriate learning goals.
**Main Tasks**:
- Planning and structuring learning in both indoor and outdoor environments using a variety of materials and equipment to facilitate children's development.
- provide a variety of experiences and activities to develop motor skills, cooperative social skills, confidence and understanding as independent learners.
- promote language development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes and informal discussions held individually and within groups.
- observe children to evaluate their learning progress and to detect signs of ill health, emotional disturbance or other factors inhibiting their learning and to assist in overcoming these barriers.
- mentor and supervise less experienced staff and trainee educators to ensure they also deliver on the services goals and in line with policy and practice.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) as well as a sound knowledge of current laws and regulations relating to childcare, in addition to Child Safe Standards and other governing practices when working with children.
- Share best practice with other educators and team.
- supervise children in recreational activities
- supervise the daily routine of children and document accordingly via online platforms.
- Support the development and independence for children with respect to health and hygiene always ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Uphold the services positive guidance strategies and all practices associated with the wellbeing and development of children.
**Desirable**:
- Exceptional communication skills both written & verbal.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role within the sector.
- Diploma qualified, with additional study an advantage.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Licence/Certification:
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
