mecwacare has recently been appointed to be a provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors scheme and as a result we are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator for the Eastern region.

The objective of this role is to recruit, induct, train and match volunteers to older people living in aged care or in their own home and provide ongoing support to volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator will also play a key role in marketing and promoting the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) by developing strong relationships with community groups, volunteer networks and aged care providers.

**What you bring***:

- Experience in the recruitment, retention and training of volunteers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for networking with participants, volunteers and the community or aged care sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of recording information on a database.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Current Victorian Driver’s License.
- Comply with all government regulations on vaccinations.

**Desirable**:

- Exposure to working in the Health, Aged Care or not for profit sector.
- Volunteer coordination or recruitment experience.
- Experience cultivating new programs and reporting data.
