**About the role**

As the Associate Director, Practice Capability, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key strategies to enhance the clinical capability of the Inter-professional workforce (Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health) to deliver great patient outcomes. The position is of clinical and educational leadership and collaborates with the Director, Practice Capability, and key internal and external stakeholders, to optimise clinical standards, mitigate clinical risk, support professional standards, and promote and enhance education and research within the clinical program area.

The Associate Director works according to a Learning and Teaching philosophy, promoting and facilitating; training, education, research and evidence-based knowledge translation and a positive workplace culture. In collaboration and consultation with the Director, they lead the Program Clinical Educator and Clinical Support team to plan, implement, deliver and evaluate learning programs based on the strategic objectives of the Eastern Health Institute. The Associate Director is accountable for the support, management and performance of the designated Learning and Teaching staff within the Practice Capability stream.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Current registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in education, health and/or management or relevant field (preferably master’s level)
- Extensive experience and expertise at a senior level with a practice development / education service
- Extensive clinical experience
- Highly developed interpersonal and team leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
