**DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS - Baulkham Hills**

**OPPORTUNITY TO WORK REGULAR SHIFTS IN YOUR LOCAL AREA -**

Pegasus Care is looking Disability Support staff who have a range of skills and who are willing to work in a variety of settings to utilize and build on these specific skill base.

We are looking for Casual Disability Support Staff to provide REGULAR support (10am to 3pm on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday to a man in his 30's with AUTISM across a variety of settings.

We are looking for committed people with experience in supporting people with Autism and who are willing to provide support to access the wider community. You should also be willing to assist with skill development and to provide assistance to ensure each client meets his/her goals within a Person Centered framework.

To be successful, you will need experience to manage challenging behaviour, well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a Team as well as family members, you will need good communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to follow the routines and protocols in the setting in which you work.

**Essential Criteria which staff MUST have to be considered** for the position are:

- Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Studies **(MANDATORY**), Certificate IV Mental Health (or similar)
- NDIS Worker Clearance Certificate - willing to obtain prior to finalisation of employment.
- Completed NDIS “Worker Induction Module - Quality, Safety & You”
- Completed NDIS Training Module - “Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals”
- Infection Control Training - COVID-19 Certificate or similar
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check number
- Current National Police Check
- Check Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- NSW Driver’s License, a Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
- Provide evidence of vehicle registration
- Minimum of six months experience in a group home setting.
- Evidence of 3 doses covid-19 vaccination
- Minimum six months experience in Residential Support gained in Australia
- 100 points of ID (must be certified copies)
- The right to work in Australia

- Behaviour support/Challenging Behaviours
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Dual Diagnosis
- Provision of Community Access.
- Implementation of Individual Goals, Plans, Routines

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $40.26 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
