
Group Coordinator

**About the role
The purpose of this role is to have a high level of clinical knowledge and skills to ensure effective service delivery within the area of therapeutic group programs in Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) for consumers with complex and severe mental health needs. The role requires specialised knowledge and coordination of the Adolescent Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT-A) program including clinical coordination, group facilitation, evaluation, quality improvement and staff education and training.
About you
- High level organisational skills in co-ordination of training and therapeutic program delivery.
- High level interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills and ability to develop effective partnerships within the Health Service and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver and improve clinical services of a complex and varied nature where principles, procedures, techniques, and methods require adaptation or modification with relative autonomy, initiative, and professional judgement.
- Ability to provide high level clinical expertise, advice and training to other professionals, mental health teams, and to external stakeholders, particularly with regard to DBT-A.
- High level of therapeutic intervention knowledge, skills, and experience.
