**Corporate General Manager**

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Corporate General Manager for one of our clients in mining/infrastructure communications.

**About the role**

You will be responsible for identifying growth prospects for our client through recognizing and researching emerging markets, new customer opportunities and expansion of existing customers through strategic business development, sales and contract/tender management.

As leader of the Business Development and Commercial functions of the business, the CGM will develop budgets, sales and commercial strategies as well as business plans, and work with the teams and individuals to generate efficiency gains and commercial benefit for the business. You are also required to manage the organisation at a strategic level with decision-making authority for day-to-day operations.

The position also covers commercial and contract management support to the business’s management team that assists in improved decision making for the business. This includes providing information and advice used in business proposals and opportunities, strategy planning, procurement and supply initiatives and CRM technology enhancement that contribute to increased commercial performance.

The CGM will identify areas for improvement in the business and assist the business to deliver on these projects.

**Skills and experience**

Tertiary: Business qualifications are desirable. Electronic Trade or engineering qualifications desirable.

Applicants must have proven experience and a track record of at least 10-years relevant senior executive management in the industry.

Demonstrable leadership and management of all aspects of a business - sales, logistics, projects, financials, R&D, etc.

Proven implementation of business improvements leading to increased projects, clients and profitability.

Astute and effective networker. Your social aptitude will prove to be of utmost importance as you will be required to effectively communicate with our clients while building and maintaining good professional relationships.
