**Position Information**:
Moss Vale High is a comprehensive Years 7-12 school located in the Southern Highlands with an enrolment of 770 students, including 40 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students. Moss Vale High School has an expansive curriculum that supports the learning needs of students across all key learning areas. The school’s current strategic directions are focused on Student Attainment and Growth, Student Wellbeing and Engagement and Building Teacher Capacity to Improve Student Outcomes. We have a whole school focus on Higher Order Ways of Learning, and our staff are committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria,
Proven capacity to work collaboratively as a member of the senior executive team to strategically plan, lead and monitor school improvement initiatives through data informed practices
Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills that promote productive and positive relationships in order to effectively manage student wellbeing issues.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement effective professional learning to develop and evaluate effective teaching and learning programs which enhance literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students.
Demonstrated ability to enhance a positive culture of high expectations through the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of effective school systems and management processes.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
