Worksmith is seeking a dynamic high performer, who is energetic and talented, as well as slightly food & drink obsessed, for the role of Head of Marketing. This person will bring high passion for the development and implementation of the strategic marketing program for the Worksmith group of products within the hospitality industry.

Key Objectives

The Head of Marketing is responsible for establishing the strategic direction of the Marketing function including the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing philosophy that brings to life Worksmiths’ vision, values and culture, as well as our business strategy and direction for all brands.

This position oversees the companies’ digital & traditional marketing, event planning, public relations and community programs and will be able to forge strategy and execution-focus with high attention to detail, ideally with experience in the hospitality, food and beverage industry. You are a superior and effective leader and mentor with experience in high-growth B2C and B2B companies, marketing products/services to the Australian market.

You are able to own all areas of upstream and downstream marketing, including but not limited to product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, online marketing and advertising, social media marketing, public relations, media relations, analyst relations, channel marketing, marketing analytics, and events.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

As a senior member of our team and reporting directly to the two CEOs, the Head of Marketing is responsible for the companies’ core marketing strategies and shares the responsibility to drive our exceptional growth and achieve high growth targets.

In this role, you will:

- Excel in a fast growth company by bringing your exceptional big thinking and hungry marketing nous and significantly contribute to our continued and rapid growth
- Lead the development and implementation of of Marketing, Public Relations and Event Planning activities
- Create design briefs and manage external designers, alongside the Brand Manager
- Lead development and execution of marketing initiatives, communications, events, and campaigns that elevate our brands
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and execute sophisticated marketing plans, while effectively managing brand and reputational risk, to ensure the internal and external brand is optimally aligned with our strategic objectives
- Determine KPIs with the two CEOs for key marketing objectives, while ensuring the marketing budget is in check, and track KPIs on a regular basis to be able to produce and present performance reports to present to the team and Board
- Create internal synergies to expand brand exposure and leverage relationships with internal and external business partners
- Conduct thorough analysis on marketing ROI and successfully develop cost effective solutions, using data and reports to make evidence-based decisions that then feeds into ongoing campaign success
- Develop and implement the organisation's multi-channel, multi-segment marketing campaign based on industry-leading insight
- Expand, develop, and maintain media relationships to create a positive external and internal image associated with brand recognition
- Ensure the business has a coherent and consistent branding strategy while recognizing and addressing the needs of specific business units and understanding the audiences of those business units
- Spearhead the creation and maintenance of our digital footprint, while effectively utilising SEO, SEM
- Manage and mentor members of the marketing team
- Work collaboratively with the team including creative, operations, sales, product development and training to ensure the success of everyone
- Create and present the annual marketing plan and strategy to the broader team
- Stay up to date with the latest technology, as well as marketing best practice
- Attend marketing conferences and educational programs

Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years experience marketing across all generations
- Experience marketing to the food and beverage industry
- Experience marketing products/services to the Australian market
- Bachelor’s degree - ideally with a focus on marketing, business administration, management or similar field
- In-depth knowledge of big data analysis
- Customer-centric focus
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience with common ad platforms like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat
- Experience with online community management and/or brand ambassador programs
- Hands-on experience with CRM and SEO tools like: Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Asana, HubSpot, Slack, Wordpress, Rhino, OnTap
