An Australian gas retailer and distributor based in Perth, they are a trusted and respected household brand with a large and stable customer base across both residential and business customers. **Your new role**

This Distribution Manager job is offered on a permanent, full-time basis at the Kwinana depot. As the Distribution Manager you will report in to the Operations Manager offering them your advice and support on commercial decisions, contract management, continuous business improvement and supply chain strategies. You will work in partnership with your carrier and transport contract partners ensuring high standards are met. The duties will include but not limited to:

- Positively motivate and lead approximately 100 fleet and transport contract and direct employees
- Maintain the established positive team culture by fostering strong work relationships with all stakeholders
- Promote excellent customer delivery services across the network
- Lead long range transport planning and forecast the impact of major changes and peak periods to ensure business continuity
- Champion transport safety across all direct staff and contractors

**What you'll need to succeed**

As the Distribution Manager you will play an integral part of the senior leadership team providing your manager and peers with expert transport knowledge and advice.
- Extensive experience in the transport industry ideally in Western Australia
- Dangerous Goods transport is desirable
- Strong commercial and business acumen in the logistics industry
- Ability to set and work towards team performance targets
- Process driven, organised and methodical approach to all tasks
- Team orientated manager who excels in a coaching approach with clear expectations
