**About you**

You will be a competent and strategic thinking Procurement and Supply Chain leader, with relevant operational excellence and business transformation experience. With your breadth of industry knowledge to showcase, you will be able to lead, develop and execute an efficient and effective supply chain service for Australasia whilst connecting with our global counterparts for alignment. You will have significant experience driving positive change management, developing a strong function and driving proven successful outcomes.

You will be an engaging people leader with an open mindset ready to embrace, drive and manage change within our function - leading a team of approximately 50 professionals across the region. You will promote a strong organisational culture driven by clear and cohesive direction.

With this role having a reporting line to our Chief Financial Officer Australasia and regular communication with our global team you will need to be familiar with a global working environment and the possibility of some out of hours appointments to meet global time zones.

**About the role**

With overall responsibility for the Babcock Australasia procurement and supply chain function, you will provide executive leadership around continuous improvement initiatives, strategic change management, business performance and culture, along with understanding the importance of systems, process management and governance for current state and future business winning.

You will be accountable for determining the strategy, implementing delivery plans and supplier reviews, and ensuring effective change management is effectively embedded for appropriate organisational structures and resourcing for all employees to develop and be deployed effectively to maximise performance and motivation.

A key part of this role will be to lead, nurture and support the Department of Defence Australian Industry Capability Program and Sovereign Industrial Capability Priorities requirements for the Australasian business.

You will be pivotal in informing the approach for wider engagement, aligning our strategy and embedding emerging procurement and supply chain themes and knowledge, setting the team up for success and best practice operations.

With our span of business operations, this role can be based in either Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth.
- To be successful in this role, you will have: _
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance as per AGSVA requirements
- Proven significant leadership experience within Supply Chain Operations and Procurement
- Exposure within a global complex organisation across a diverse group of stakeholders
- Significant business transformation and change management experience with proven results
- Successful communicator at all levels of an organisation across local and international business units
- Degree level qualification within Business, Commerce or Finance
- Defence industry experience preferred
