**About the role**No two calls are ever the same. You’ll be the first point of contact for worried pet owners and referring vets, making a real difference by:

- Handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with genuine care and efficiency
- Booking specialist consultations, emergency admissions, and follow-up appointments
- Turning enquiries into confirmed bookings by confidently (and warmly) explaining how specialist care can change everything
- Guiding clients through admissions, cost estimates, and pet insurance claims
- Securely processing phone payments
- Liaising with our emergency, surgery, medicine, and nursing teams to keep communication seamless and patients safe

**You’ll be the kind of person who can**

- Stay unflappable when a pet owner is in tears or a vet is in a rush
- Multitask like a pro without losing accuracy or warmth
- Build instant rapport over the phone
- Bounce back after tough calls and still bring positivity to the next one

**What you bring**

- Proven experience in a high-volume customer service, contact centre, or reception role
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail - especially when emotions are high
- Empathy, emotional resilience, and a naturally warm phone manner
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude and eagerness to learn
- Previous veterinary, medical, or animal-related experience is a bonus (but definitely not essential - we’ll teach you everything you need)
