Modernisation Mechanic

Role Overview

Electra is growing and is looking for an installation mechanic for one of our entities located in Mascot. Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely modernising/upgrading a portfolio of elevator units.- Permanent role- Based in Mascot, NSW- Reports to the Operations Manager

On a typical day, you will:
- Install new elevator controllers and associated components with quality and efficiency- Work in a safe manner in accordance with all Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.- Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship- Conduct inspection before and after installation to ensure high quality and safety standards

What you will need to be successful.- Qualified to upgrade elevators to the standards set in NSW- Hold a valid driver's license- Have at least 6 months of experience in the field of elevators, ideally acquired in the assembly activity or at least experience on-site and /or Installation/Modernisation- Possess good electrical and mechanical skills.- Comfortable with plan reading and calculations.- Have an appetite for technical products and new technologies.- Appreciate manual trades as well as the satisfaction of seeing the finished work.
