Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, education and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

As the Carer Coach, you will be responsible for organising and facilitating one-to one time limited coaching sessions, that are carer led and directed, and in accordance with the Carer Gateway service guidelines. These coaching sessions will be conducted either face to face, over the telephone or over online channels, as preferenced by the carer and these sessions will empower carers to take steps towards making positive changes.

This is a part time contract position, offering 3-4 days (22.5-30 hrs) per week until 30 June 2026.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or other relevant discipline and/or ability to show demonstrated work experience relevant to the role
- Experience empowering clients to understand their needs/goals and to make decisions and actions independently
- Experience working in a one-to-one capacity with carers with the ability to provide active listening without judgement
- High level of emotional maturity and resilience
- Understanding of trauma-informed practices
- Demonstrates ability to foster and maintain a positive and optimistic outlook towards carers
- Demonstrated knowledge of Mandatory Reporting and Privacy requirements
- Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills
- Current NSW drivers licence and the capacity to travel and work across NSW Region 4 service area (Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast)

Salary and Benefits
