Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated and publicly minded professional to join the Governance Branch in the role of Manager.
Governance Branch provides advice and support to the Premier and DPC's Secretary on the operation of the Victorian government, including on matters of public administration and governance, Victoria's accountability framework and the public sector workforce (executive and VPS).
As the Manager, working in the Institutions of Government team you lead the provision of policy advice and support for the Institutions of Government team, providing advice to the Premier, Minister for Government Services and senior executives on topical, high-impact issues and reforms.
You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic policy environment, in a small team among supportive and engaged peers, and across the broader Victorian Public Sector.
The team contains deep public administration expertise and includes specialists in areas including governance, law, economics, and industrial relations.
To succeed in this role, you will have strong policy analysis and team management skills, and a good understanding of public sector governance and public administration.

About you
- Highly developed people management skills.
- Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis and coordination processes.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
