We currently have several **Production Operator** roles available for an energetic team player to join our Production Team at our production site in Smithfield.

The person will work closely with the Production Supervisors, Leading Hands and other team members assisting in the everyday operations to ensure quality products are being created for our customers in the Food and Beverage Industries.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Keeping flawless records and documentation on HACCP and batch traceability;
- Execute written work instructions according to recipes to complete production orders in a safe manner to all quality standards (which include):

- Picking, packing and re-palletizing raw materials;
- Weighing and compounding food and chemical raw materials;
- Prepare, check, operate and clean mixing and processing equipment;
- Perform in process control and quality assurance checks; and
- Labelling and packing finished flavours.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities;
- Work with peers in a team-oriented and respectful work environment;
- Continuously learn and enhance job skills as well as teaching others to enhance their skills;
- Demonstrate responsibility for product quality and production level; and
- Use electronic computer data bases, including SAP and Microsoft Office.

**Days**: Monday to Friday.

**Hours**: Covering 24 hours. Shifts are 6.00am to 2.30pm (day), 2.00pm to 10.00pm (afternoon) and 10.00pm to 6.00am (night).

**Opportunities**: Full Time.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A commitment to make Quality and Safety our highest priorities.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in flavour, ingredient, food or chemical manufacturing (preferred).
- Attention to detail and ability to organise batch and production records.
- Ability to wear PPE and respirators and safely handle hazardous chemicals.
- Ability to tolerate strong smells.
- No strong food allergies.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math, problem-solve and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.
- Forklift operation skills (preferred), ability to operate other mobile equipment.
- SAP bar coding/scanning experience (preferred).
- Able to lift up to 25kg.
- A commitment to our Givaudan DNA.
