About the Role:
Full-Time | 6-Month Contract | Wollongong

Life can change in an instant. A lost job, an unexpected bill, or illness can leave someone feeling overwhelmed and alone. At Anglicare, we walk alongside people in those moments—offering not just food or financial help, but hope, respect, and a path forward.

As a Case Worker in the heart of Wollongong, you’ll be the first person our clients meet. You’ll listen without judgment, respond with compassion, and help them take the first steps toward stability and healing. You’ll work both remotely and face-to-face and may be required to support our clients across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, bringing care directly to communities in need.

What You’ll Do:

- Welcome every client with warmth and empathy—whether in person or over the phone
- Provide intake and assess needs with care and attentiveness
- Offer food parcels and connect clients with the right support services
- Keep client records secure, accurate, and confidential
- Support team meetings and events with thoughtful admin support
- Help improve our systems so we can serve people better
- Embody Anglicare’s mission in every interaction
- Participate in outreach activities across regional communities

What You Bring:

- Qualifications or experience in Social Work, Community Services, or Customer Service in a community setting
- A heart for people and a calm, compassionate presence
- Strong communication skills—especially when people are in distress
- Confidence with technology and managing client records
- The ability to juggle tasks while staying grounded and focused
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Willingness and ability to travel for outreach work
