As a Visual Technologies Consultant you will deliver a high quality technical, production and design input to our National Design team visual and urban design projects. Focusing on the delivery of project work to meet established commercial targets, that supports the design team nationally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure your position in this growing specialised field.

**You will**:
The Visual Technologies Consultant will be responsible for assisting to prepare certifiable 3D photomontages and 3D model views and CGIs for a variety of Visual Assessments projects. The method of preparation for photomontages (photo simulations) will comply with NSW Land and Environment Court of New South Wales, Victorian VCAT guidelines and other methods.

3D modelling / Rendering - 3DS Max:

- Assemble data for existing conditions, such as DEMs, LiDAR, feature surveys, aerials etc along with site photos and GPS or surveyed photo locations.
- Add proposed elements such as Architectural models, landscape elements.
- Setting up Cameras to replicate and match site photography and create ‘Camera matches' between the 3D model and site photos from nominated viewpoints.
- Rendering of views and composited into Photoshop as layers.
- The 3DS Max model is also used to guide what will be visible or occluded when compared against the existing conditions model (where sufficient data exists)

GIS software, including GlobalMapper, QGIS, Google Earth.
- To assist with managing, validating, processing, assembling, analysing project data to ensure all sources are sitting in the one project coordinate space.
- Viewshed analyses to determine potential visibility and assist to identify potential sensitive view places prior to fieldwork.

Compositing - Photoshop
- All final rendered layers will be composited together using Photoshop managed using layers and masking tools.
- Use of non-destructive photo-editing wherever practical to allow higher editability when making future updates.

**About You**:
You may have architectural, landscape architectural or Urban Design qualifications.

Ideally you will have:

- Architectural experience (understanding and experience working with architectural / landscape / civil / survey drawings, familiarity with geo-coordinates, levels and handling of 3D models in varying file formats.
- Ability to use AutoCAD to validate drawings and justify alignment of various drawings sets and datasets being provided to a known geo-referenced base)
- Good understanding of digital and general photography (familiarity working with DSLRs, focal lengths, interpreting EXIF data including GPS location data)
- GIS software experience and handling of geo-spatial datasets (working with various spatial datasets and integration into a 3D model. Familiarity working between CAD and GIS coordinate systems)
- Adobe Photoshop (Comfortable working with compositing layers 3D rendered elements into an existing condition photograph to visualise the proposals)
- Adobe InDesign (Assembling reports and documents for final output)
