**About the Role**
- This is a Permanent Full-Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Department
- You will be responsible for supporting the aseptic manufacture of products in the pharmacy sterile department. You will also be supporting training of rotational technician staff and intern pharmacists.

**What you’ll achieve**:

- Manufacture sterile medications following the requirements of clean room procedures and aseptic technique
- Assist senior pharmacists with staff rostering in Sterile to ensure the correct skill mix for each day’s manufacturing
- Supervise cleaning and sterilising equipment and work areas

Classification for this position will be TH10 (Grade 3) (base salary $65,754 per annum, plus superannuation plus salary packaging)

**Your skills and experience**:

- Essential:

- Prior experience working in a Sterile unit
- Prior experience with training staff

Desirable:

- Suitable Hospital Pharmacy Technician course (Certificate III or IV), or equivalent
- Prior work with paediatrics and members of the public
- Familiarity with the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme
- Certification or experience in manufacturing intravenous solutions and other sterile pharmaceutical products
- Familiarity with the use of Merlin® and Epic®

**About the Pharmacy Department**
- The RCH Pharmacy Sterile Room manufactures complex aseptic products for patients of RCH. It is a wider part of the Pharmacy Department, which is responsible for medication management of inpatients and outpatients at RCH.
