Human Resources Busines Partner

Reporting through to the National Human Resources Manager, the role is focused on the provision of proactive HR generalist advice and guidance to managers, providing appropriate and timely ER / IR support and equipping leaders with the right skills, tools and information to efficiently and effectively manage their workforce across appropriate HR disciplines. This role is accessible for first call advice and involvement in a range of human resources issues.

**About the role**
- Actively support managers and the recruitment team to recruit and
- retain talent
- Work closely with leaders to manage absenteeism - analysis and
- intervention.
- Workers’ compensation & injury management case review/involvement. Work closely with managers and workers compensation team on difficult cases - identify and facilitate appropriate solutions. (Bring together the claims management, injury management and employment aspects of the individual claim)
- Resolve payroll issues, process level changes according to relevant model and bonus payments. Facilitate salary review and letters of offer.
- Process and assist with terminations, restructuring, secondment, and redundancies.
- Actively support managers with counselling and disciplinary
matters to ensure consistency with decisions across the site.
- Assist with discipline hearings and dismissals.
- Provide support around conflict resolution, complaint investigation
and resolution, award & legislation interpretation. Predominantly
reactive, proactive where possible - assertive where legal or
ethical compliance is an issue

**About you**
- Relevant HR technical qualifications at tertiary level
- Several years’ experience working in a similar level influencing role
- Training & Development experience
- Advocacy experience highly desirable
