**About us**

Police, Fines and Crime Prevention group builds strong communities and supports community safety. The group achieves this through:

- Regulation, policy, governance and legislation for policing, crime prevention, road safety, countering violent extremism and infringements
- The delivery of key functions in the administration of fines, road safety cameras, Working with Children Checks (WWCCV), National Disability Insurance Scheme checks, adoption services and the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Manager, ChildCheck Support, the ChildCheck Support Officer role is responsible for assisting in undertaking analysis to support strategic decision making of WWCCV. The ChildCheck Support Officer will support ChildCheck and DisCheck database development through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

This role will also assist in the provision of IT operational support, including database management and identifying and resolving data issues to benefit the business and users.

**About you**
- Demonstrated quality assurance testing - Minimum 2 years quality assurance testing experience
- Demonstrated experience working across different test phases - Strong manual testing skills
- Demonstrated experience in triaging defects
- Ability to seek opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to innovate whilst offering suggestions and ideas and encouraging others to do the same
- Ability to resolve issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines and where guidelines are not available, analyse ideas available and take action through self, or in consultation with others to resolve problems
