Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join us on a permanent fulltime basis. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, this position is based at our Communications Division in Forrestfield and will conduct site visits as required.

**THE ROLE**

As a Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for:

- Providing guidance and mentoring to site-based Safety Advisors working on various shutdowns, maintenance and projects
- Building and maintaining relationships with employees and clients
- Driving Health and Safety compliance throughout all aspects of the business
- Supporting the Health and Safety Manager in the development and implementation of Health and Safety strategies
- Monitoring Health and Safety Management System processes and procedures in compliance with relevant standards and legislative requirements
- Establishing, implementing, and regularly reviewing Site Safety Advisor initiative programs and KPI’s
- Reporting all non-conformances for continuous improvement opportunities
- Providing guidance to Operations Managers and others in relation to Health and Safety Management Plans
- Compiling Health and Safety End of Month Reporting

**ABOUT YOU**
- Relevant tertiary WHS qualification (as a minimum Certificate IV)
- Wireless Communication or electrical experience is highly desirable
- Qualified to undertake ICAM Investigations
- Minimum of 3 year’s operational site experience within the resourcing sector
- Experience maintaining Health and Safety Management systems, processes and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as sound negotiation skills
- Document and record management skills
- Rio, FMG, Roy Hill, BHP, Newmont, or Goldfields inductions are advantageous
