Newcastle Private is currently seeking experienced guest services professionals to join our dynamic team in a casual capacity.

We are searching for team members experienced in a high level of cleaning, preferably with hospital or similar experience to work across a rotating 7-day roster including mornings, evenings and nights. Successful applicants may also be able to pick up or be trained for further work in the Food Services Department.

**About us**

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.

We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.

**Key responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- Provide high standard of cleaning services
- Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Act in accordance with all manual handling protocols
- Assisting the production teams to ensure patient satisfaction is achieved at all times;
- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education. Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement in all aspects of safety including Work Health & Safety

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience as cleaner or infectious cleaning specialist in a hospital, aged care or medical setting
- Have enthusiasm, drive and passion to prepare and maintain an appropriate work area to the highest standard of excellence
- Time management skills
- Good communication and customer service skills;
- Attention to detail
- Be able to commit to the flexibility of working Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster including afternoon, evening and occasional night shifts.
