**About Good Shepherd**:
Good Shepherd is located at Para Vista and is one of over 85 Lutheran schools educating more than 40,000 students in Australia. We are an Early Learning to Year 6 school and our OSHC is based on-site, very much part of our school community.**The Imagination OSHC Service is licenced for 89 children and supports families of children from Foundation to Year 6. The service provides before, afternoon and vacation care.

**Role overview**:
As one of our OSHC Educators you will collaborate with other staff members to provide quality care, support inclusion of all children, and maintain the wellbeing and safety of the school community.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and reflective of the diverse social and cultural community
- Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the OSHC centre, ensuring all activities align with Good Shepherd Lutheran School’s Vision, Values, and Learning Principles
- Create and maintain an empowering, safe, and caring environment for all children
- Support the inclusion of children with additional needs and facilitate their full participation in programs
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, including incident reports and medication administration
- Work cooperatively with other staff members to build a culture of teamwork, willingness to collaborate, and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care
- Develop positive, professional relationships with children, families, staff, and the broader school community
- Adhere to the School’s policies and procedures, including food handling, child protection, and safety standards
- Foster an environment where children feel safe, valued, and included, aligned with the school’s vision and values

**What you will bring**:

- As a Qualified Educator you will have completed two years of a teaching degree or have an ACECQA approved qualification.
- Experience working with children 5 - 12 years old
- Current Working with Children Check
- Food Handling Training (desirable)
- First Aid in Educational and Child Care Setting (desirable)
- RRHAN-EC (Reporting and Responding to Harm, Abuse and Neglect) training
- Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven ability to develop positive professional relationships with student, staff and parents
- Passion to support all students to achieve their potential
- Positive and encouraging demeanour
