**Lifeguard / Gym Attendant - HMAS Penguin**:

- Mosman, NSW _| _Full-Time, 38 hrs/week _
️ _Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM _
️ _Flexible 4-day week option available (e.g., 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM) _
- Baseline Security Clearance Required (or willing to obtain) _

BGIS is hiring a **Full-Time Lifeguard / Gym Attendant**at HMAS Penguin to replace Destyn Diep, who has transitioned to a casual role. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, high-performing team providing essential wellbeing services to the defence community.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Supervise and ensure safety in both the gym and pool areas
- Perform First Aid and respond to incidents when required
- Manage gym opening and closing procedures
- Assist Physical Training Instructors with equipment setup/pack-down
- Maintain gym and pool cleanliness and loan equipment
- Handle member sign-ins, ID checks, and customer enquiries
- Report maintenance issues and conduct basic stock management
- Work independently while following strict safety protocols

**What You’ll Bring**
- **Current First Aid**and **Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard**certificate _(required) _
- Strong swimming ability (must demonstrate ability to reach 6m pool depth within 6 months)
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work without supervision
- Willingness to undergo **Baseline Security Clearance**:

- Availability for weekday shifts with optional **weekend overtime**
