**Provide expert safety, wellness & resilience guidance to Suncorp Group**:

We are seeking a 1st in class Safety, Wellness & Resilience Principal. As a senior professional you will be experienced in working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and be passionate about developing, maintaining and monitoring ongoing effectiveness of the safety, wellness and resilience portfolio.

You will join our multidisciplinary and collaborative team as a Principal who has built a deep understanding of our business’ needs in order to deliver expert, timely, strategic, commercially balanced and risk appropriate advice and support, coaching others to continually lift team performance.

**What you’ll do**
- Monitor external trends, legislative, regulatory and industry insights to identify any potential impacts on Suncorp’s safety frameworks, initiatives or policies and procedures.
- Deliver portfolio owned compliance and governance activities including policy and standard review, board and external reporting, and oversee operational reporting, audit and verification activities to ensure appropriate management of risk to Suncorp.
- Fulfil the role of key contact for one or more business areas, working closely with Safety, Wellness & Resilience and Employee Relations team members to ensure solutions are targeted and address the specific needs of your client group, in addition to identifying trends and emerging risks to help drive strategies to address.
- Act as an escalation point and lead coach for Safety, Wellness & Resilience Advisors/Specialists, and support ongoing development for case management teams, providing guidance and coaching on technical and business-specific safety, wellness and resilience issues.
- Contribute to the Suncorp Incident Response Team through preparedness and response activities that ensure our people are safe, well and supported in the face of a significant event, including on-call rotations from time to time.
- Lead design and oversee project delivery of initiatives that mitigate key risks and improve safety performance, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the broader People, Culture & Advocacy team and the business.
- Drive effective planning, prioritisation, monitoring and reporting mechanisms across team, supporting process efficiencies, risk management practices and data quality in source systems.
- Maintain and foster constructive working relationships with key third parties including strategic suppliers and Industry peers.
- Utilise our systems to manage queries and track deliverables (including ServiceNow and Jira) to ensure the team have access to quality data from which to extract insight for our clients and measure quality outcomes.
- Adhere to the People, Culture & Advocacy Risk Appetite and effectively monitor and manage risk to Suncorp.

**What you’ll bring**
- Bachelor level degree in Safety, Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, Allied Health, or related discipline.
- Minimum five to eight years’ experience in safety advisory/consulting roles.
- Experience in risk management including psychosocial risks, health and safety management system design and oversight, strategy and gap analysis.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and identification of new opportunities.
- Experience in coaching and developing others.
- Demonstrated client focus through effective stakeholder management skills with a variety of stakeholders, and delivery of positive outcomes.
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills - ability to manage changing requirements and prioritise workflows.
- Ability to analyse data to identify underlying issues and trends and use this information to present opportunities for improvement.
