**The Role**
Several opportunities exist at the APS 6 level within Property Management Branch, which is part of Infrastructure Division in Security and Estate Group. The opportunities include roles focussed on contract management and administration, property management, project management and communication and stakeholder support. There may also be the opportunity to manage a small team.
The successful applicants will be offered a role that best suits their experience and interests.
**About our Team**
Property Management (PM) Branch is responsible for strategic management and future direction of Defence’s real estate transactions in alignment with the direction of the Defence Estate Strategy 2016-36 and the Defence Transformation Program.
PM Branch is responsible for elements of the entire property life cycle from acquisition to disposal, including office leasing, spatial allocation and modernisation of the workplace, managing native title obligations, managing mining and other access arrangements through leasing, licencing and overarching policy, establishing and managing public private partnerships and managing the overseas leasing program.
Positions in the Branch range from project management positions, delivering new leased facilities in support of Defence capability; to communication and stakeholder support, where your ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes will be key. We also have contract management roles, where your knowledge (or ability to develop that knowledge quickly) about Commonwealth procurement processes will be key.
Experience or qualifications in contract management, Commonwealth procurement or project management, and the proven ability to deliver results, will be an advantage.
We are looking for strong team players with effective communication and relationship management skills, who are customer focused, and have the flexibility and drive to be responsive to changing workplace objectives, workplace pressures, priorities, and requirements.
