Their aim is to provide quality clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient care.

We are looking for a WHS Specialist to be based across three mental health sites in the Melbourne metro area and beyond.

**Role Purpose**
As the WHS Specialist you will be based across three private facilities with a focus on mental health support. You will partner with and support the leadership team to drive a continuous improvement approach in Safety and Wellbeing performance and to contribute to the execution of the Safety and Wellbeing Strategy.

Your role will see you:

- Build capability across key stakeholders to implement and embed Safety and Wellbeing processes and programs and a culture of risk management.
- Enhance personal accountability for safety amongst managers and leaders through influencing, supporting, coaching and mentoring.
- Drive safe systems of work, quality incident investigations and the delivery of visible and felt leadership through the implementation of learning, coaching and monitoring programs.
- Identify operational safety issues, and provide advice and assistance in identifying opportunities and solutions that enhanced safety outcome for all.
- Participate and contribute to risk management activities including facilitating risk assessments, contributing to the development of SOPs, conducting control verification; and leading complex investigations.
- Coordinate site WHS assurance activities, coach managers, leaders and teams in effective delivery of the program, and participate in the Assurance Program to monitor and verify the requirements of the WHSW Standards and Procedures are in place and effective.
- Participate in regulator inspections pertaining to WHS.
- Participate and contribute to State and National WHSW forums and networks and advisory committees to drive safety and wellbeing improvements.
- Monitor and review WHS performance with Hospital Executive Team to identify and act on trends, hotspots and celebrate success.
- Work closely with and support the Injury Management Specialist in early intervention, claims and injury management activities.

**Experience for Success**:

- Qualification within Work, Health and Safety
- Several years holding a role within work health and safety
- Drivers licence to move between your designated sites
- Ability to work 5 days a week onsite at your facilities - 1 day a week will be Geelong based, 4 days in the Melbourne metro area
- Experience with Incident and Investigation training, e.g. ICAM or similar

- Auditing Qualification
- Membership or affiliation with a safety professional association
